Review of 2006:
October 21 to November 22, 2006: Dean
Stockwell had another art exhibit at the Craig Krull
Gallery in Santa Monica, California. Along with his collages,
there was a new sculpture collection titled "Nectars",
a series of three-dimensional crosses made of brightly
colored translucent dice. The crosses are decorated with
tiny metal milagros, and a cast metal hummingbird is
attached to each piece. As Stockwell points out, "dice
are about chance and motion, but here they’re shaped
into a structure of solidarity."

May 23, 2006: Compulsion was released
on DVD.
May 5, June 24 2006: "Investigations",
a new Dean art exhibition, ran from May 5th to June 24,
2006 at the Gerald
Peters Gallery in Dallas, Texas. The opening reception
with Dean was on May 5th, 6-8pm.
May 5, 2006: On May 5th, 6-8pm, Dean
appeared at the opening reception for his new art exhibition "Investigations".

Stockwell is featured in the May 2006 edition of the
magazine "American Art Collector."
May 2006: Austin
Stockwell, Dean Stockwell's son, graduated from college.
April 20 to July 9, 2006: "Semina
Culture: Wallace Berman and His Circle" a traveling
art exhibition organized by the Santa Monica Museum of
Art will be held at Ulrich Museum of Arts, on the campus

January - March, 2006: Celebrating
Dean's 70th birthday, and inspired by his long commitment
to good causes that makes this world a better place to
live, the Sassies members have organized a donation to
be made in his name to a charity as a birthday present
and tribute for his inspiration and good example for
all of us. We chose CancerCare ,
an American non-profit organization that provides free
professional support services to anyone affected by cancer.
Most of us who have lost someone dear to cancer or are
dealing with the problem.
March 5, 2006: Happy Birthday, Dean!
March 3 & 10, 2006: Dean Stockwell
made a guest appearance on Battlestar Galactica, in the
episodes "Lay Down Your Burdens" Part One and
Part Two, shown on the SCI FI Network on March 3 from
10:00 pm to 11:00 pm (Eastern/Pacific Time),and March
10 from 10:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
January 31, 2006: The extended version
of Dune was released on DVD in the USA.
January 11, 2006 to March 15, 2006: "Semina
Culture: Wallace Berman and His Circle" a traveling

Art was held at Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art, on
